COVID-19

COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways.


You can get detailed information on Ireland's response to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the latest updates on gov.ie. Ireland has now moved into the delay phase of its response to coronavirus.


The following measures are in effect until Sunday 29 March:

Schools, colleges and childcare facilities are closed from the evening of 12 MarchIndoor mass gatherings of 100 people or more and outdoor mass gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelledAll State-run cultural institutions will closeAll pubs have been advised to close until 29 March. People have also been asked not to have house parties.


Where it is possible to work remotely people should do so. Public transport will continue and shops will continue to remain open.
